Piran gets its first trolleybus in 1909
In Slovenian history, there were only two operational trolleybuses: in Piran and Ljubljana. On this day, in 1909, Piran received the first trolleybus to run on the approximately 5-kilometre-long line between Piran's Tartini Square and the railway station in present-day Lucija.

Tadej Pogačar won Tour de France 2020
Exactly one year ago, Slovenia cheered loudly for its exceptional cyclists, who then brought the world competition to their knees at the 107th edition of the Tour de France cycling race. 21-year-old Slovenian Tadej Pogačar celebrated the victory, and the second place went to Slovenian ace Primož Roglič.
Planica zipline opened in 2015
